PRIVACY POLICY AND CHILDREN’S PRIVACY STATEMENT

This Privacy Policy and Children’s Privacy Statement (the “Privacy Policy”) explains how 7th Street Kids, a Washington non-profit organization, handles personal information you provide in connection with the use of its website, workshop registration and other forms (both online and printed), and musical theatre workshop activities provided by 7th Street Kids.

Your rights, as a parent or guardian, and your child’s safety while participating in 7th Street Kids programs, are important to us.  IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY, DO NOT USE 7TH STREET KIDS SERVICES IN ANY MANNER.  PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE SUBMITTING PERSONAL INFORMATION TO US.

  1. The Information We Collect

7th Street Kids provides Musical Theatre Workshops for children.  The workshops may be held in a physical location or in a virtual setting (online). 

To participate in 7th Street Kids Musical Theatre Workshops, an application and/or registration form is required and personally identifiable information is collected by 7th Street Kids for both the parent/guardian and the participating child.  Other information may also be provided by a child while attending a workshop in order to participate in the activities.

“Personal information” means individually identifiable information about an individual that is submitted to and/or collected by 7th Street Kids. 

7th Street Kids may collect the following types of personal information  in connection with the registration or application processes for its online workshops:

Parent / Guardian Information:

  • First and Last Name
  • Physical Address including street and city
  • Email Address
  • Phone Numbers

 

Child Participant Information:

  • First and Last Name
  • Grade
  • School
  • Age
  • Birthdate
  • Gender
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • T-Shirt Size

 

Additional information may be collected while a child is participating in a 7th Street Kids workshop, such as, but not limited to: images; videos; audio recordings; and/or biographical information such as grade, school, and hobbies.  

Please help us protect your children’s privacy by instructing them never to provide personal contact information (like their full name, e-mail address, home address, telephone number, etc.) without your permission. We encourage you to spend time with your children when they are online or using any mobile device so you understand the sites, activities and apps they are engaged in, and to adopt available device and browser controls that reflect your preferences about your children’s ability to access the Internet.

A SPECIAL NOTE TO KIDS: If you are under 13, you must get your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission before giving out your contact information, like e-mail address or phone number, or any other personal information, to 7th Street Kids or to anyone else.  It is 7th Street Kids policy to obtain your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission for all Kids under 18 years old before submitting information to us.

  1. How We Keep and Use Personal Information

We may keep and use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide our services, including, but not limited to, the development and publication of participant directories and performance playbills.
  • To develop organizational records to monitor historical participation and improve future programs.
  • To respond to your requests.
  • To contact you with information that might be of interest to you, including 7th Street Kids programs and news, and other children’s theatre events or educational opportunities unless you have opted not to receive such information.
  • To comply with a law or regulation, court order or other legal process.

Sharing Personal Information with Other Users and Third Parties

7th Street Kids shares a participant directory for each of its workshops.  The directory contains each participant’s first and last name, address and contact information.  The directory is shared with the other enrolled participants of the workshop.  You may opt out from listing your address and contact information in this directory when registering for the workshop.

7th Street Kids will not share your personal information collected from this website, or from any registration or other form submitted by you, with an unrelated third-party without your permission.

In the ordinary course of business, we will share some personal information with companies that we engage to perform services or that functions on our behalf.  For example, we will share personal information with the Directors who lead the 7th Street Kids workshop programs, or with vendors such as a T-shirt vendor.  When we share your personal information with a third-party, we will only share that information that is necessary for the vendor to perform the service we have requested.  We will not authorize any vendor or service provider to keep, disclose or use your information with others except for the purpose of providing the services we asked them to provide.

We may be legally compelled to release your personal information in response to a court order, subpoena, search warrant, law or regulation. We may cooperate with law enforcement authorities in investigating and prosecuting website visitors who violate our rules or engage in behavior which is harmful to other visitors (or illegal).

We may disclose your personal information to third parties if we feel that the disclosure is necessary to:

  • enforce this Privacy Statement and the other rules about your use of this website
  • protect our rights or property
  • protect someone’s health, safety or welfare
  • comply with a law or regulation, court order or other legal process

Payment Processing

To process payments for products, tickets or workshops, we may use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors).

We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.

Transfer of Personal Information

If 7th Street Kids is involved in a merger, acquisition or liquidation, your personal information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Retention of Personal Information

7th Street Kids will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

The security of your personal information is important to us.  But, remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

  1. Children’s Privacy

7th Street Kids provides Musical Theatre Workshops for children, including performance opportunities normally held before live audiences.  As a parent, you should know that 7th Street Kids collects and uses a child’s personal information when they enroll in one of our workshops.  We use reasonable efforts to ensure that before we collect any personal information from a child, the child’s parent receives notice of and consents to our personal information practices.

We will NOT knowingly collect, use, or distribute personal information from children under the age of 18 without prior consent from a parent or guardian.

We will NOT knowingly ask a child under the age of 18 to divulge more information than is needed to participate in a 7th Street Kids activity.

We will NOT knowingly keep any personal information that is inadvertently included in a child’s email submission, help inquiry, or other one-time request.  Any such information will be purged promptly after the issue has been resolved.

For further details on the information we might collect, refer to the “The Information We Collect” in Section 1. of this Privacy Policy. We follow our standard Privacy Policy for the disclosure of personal information collected from and about children.

Parental Access and Revoking Consent

A parent who has already given 7th Street Kids their consent to collect and use their child’s personal information may, at any time:

  • Review, correct or delete the child’s personal information
  • Discontinue further collection or use of the child’s personal information

To make such a request outlined above, please contact us as provided in Section 6.  Please be sure to include your email address and a telephone number where we can reach you.  To protect you and your child’s privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to help verify your identity before granting you access to the personal information that we collect and maintain.

Please note that the deletion of data, or discontinuing its use, may lead to termination of a child’s current participation in a 7th Street Kids program and inhibit access to future program information distributed by 7th Street Kids by email, mail or other means.

Our website may contain links to other websites that are not operated by 7th Street Kids. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our website.

We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our website, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on our website.
